Hello and welcome to the brand new, all singing, all dancing, Family Wise Limited website. Having lived in the dark ages for such a long time, a full time professional family and local history research lifestyle has enabled me to ‘get online’. Social networking and blogging is replacing what used to be after-school meetings and marking – I can assure you, this is far more entertaining!

Having claimed back over £70,000 for clients in my first year as a part-time Heir Hunter, the decision was made in April to swap the M4 drive at 7 o’clock each morning for being my own boss. And I am certainly not looking back…. no two days are the same and no two cases are either…

Family Wise Limited is my company – I’m Kirsty Gray, perhaps best known for being Chairman of the Guild of One-Name Studies, Director of English Studies for the National Institute for Genealogical Studies and Chair of the Society for One-Place Studies.
