Long way from home

Sometimes I hear researchers say, ‘I wish I could find out where s/he was buried’. On many occasions, it is a long way from where they were born and not necessarily close to where they died. Today, we thought we would share with you a lovely – though deteriorating – grave in Stratton, Cornwall of Anca Winand-Van Wulfften Pathe.

Born in Hengelo, Holland on 12 February 1884, she died in Stratton in 1922, a long way from ‘home’. What brought her to England, one wonders?
