When a plan comes together

21 March 2014

Most of us spend half our lives wishing the working week away in order to have a break from work and ‘have a life’ at the weekends. Gone are the days when we can function without some kind of diary, electronic or otherwise. But it doesn’t seem to matter how good a plan is, sometimes it just doesn’t work out.

You schedule those meetings at 5pm, 6:30pm and 8pm thinking you have enough time to get between each allegedly hour-long appointment and then a meeting overruns, the road you wanted to travel down is closed or there is an accident which scuppers the master plan. I wonder if there is ever a plan which has been perfectly executed?

And then sometimes all the pieces of the puzzle just slot together beautifully. You know, that case which on the surface of it looks impossible and then you find the vital clue which breaks down the brick wall…. you know, that event which seems destined to go wrong and is a great success. As they said in the A-team: I love it when a plan comes together!

Smith, Jones, Long, Bartlett, Thompson, Williams…. we’ve had them all this week and not one has taken the wind out of our sails. They do of course present challenges but that’s what we love here at Family Wise Limited! Bring it on…..
