It is now the end of September. Officially, in less than an hour, it’s over. Thirty days hath September and on we roll to October. The weather near FWL HQ has been more like what one would hope for in August this last week, but the evenings are most certainly getting cooler. Is it too early to start firing up the boiler and getting the central heating on to warm up the office?
Now that October is within touching distance, people are beginning to talk about the C word. This morning, I was at a business networking meeting and a printer was talking about offers for cards for the C season. Is it too early to start thinking about the end of 2015? It hardly seems like yesterday that I was writing cards and trying to schedule all the family history work prior to the big day in 2014.
The truth is, in business, it’s never too early to talk about Christmas. Many companies will run special offers, vouchers and gift packages. Some will deliver right up to Christmas Eve. Whilst we can work to tight deadlines, we prefer to have a longer lead time. If you are considering asking FWL to produce something special for Christmas 2015 for a friend, colleague or member of the family, get in touch sooner rather than later!
I found out today that Jean-Paul Sartre said, “Three o’clock is always too late or too early for anything you want to do“. How true! And the clock above shows that the same is true for nine o’clock as well. Is it too late to telephone someone at 9pm? Is 9am too early to call? Oh, the dilemmas!
I wonder…. what will October 2015 bring? Looking back at where we were in October 2014, the changes in FWL in just one year are simply staggering. What a difference a year makes….
