Over the course of a year, we all have important dates in our lives. Some move and some don’t. Birthdays seem to come around consistently each 365 (or 366) days and Christmas crops up on the same date each year, though it continually seems to surprise people when it appears ‘all of a sudden‘. There are other festivities which move from one date to another, year on year. Easter has its own schedule, for example, and in the various countries of the United Kingdom, we have ‘Bank Holidays’ for all sorts of reasons which certainly elude me but are surely for some enormously historic reason.
But next week, it’s an important anniversary for me. Two years ago, I started blogging on a daily basis and catapulted Family Wise Limited to a new level. Leaving ‘the day job’ to run my own business full-time, I never dreamed that I would be in the position I am today. So, over the next week, there will be a special series of blogs …. you didn’t think I’d tell you what they would be, did you?! You really don’t know me very well….!
Recognising special occasions is much easier these days. Our ancestors sometimes didn’t even know their nearest and dearest’s correct birth date by the time they reached the point of having to record it on their demise. Now, Facebook reminds me when my friend’s birthdays are! Important events, newsworthy items and other randomness is tweeted in 140 characters on a regular basis to keep us all up to speed with regard to worldly goings on and also what people have had for breakfast at times. Interesting this social media lark!
So folks, watch this space! And if you have any thoughts you’d like to share about things you’d like to see on the blog either now or in the future, do let me know! What do you like? What do you not like? What do you want to see more/less of….? Would appreciate your comments…..
