What’s the different between classic, vintage, and retro?
A vintage item or piece of clothing was made in an era. It will always be remembered of what era it belongs to before it becomes an antique (which is anything over one hundred years old). Something that is described as ‘retro’ is just outdated. It may not be considered good or valuable in any way but is kept for nostalgic purposes and maybe for the use of current or future development.
What is considered a ‘classic’ is perennial and will never die.
At times there are blurred lines between was is classic, retro, and vintage? What’s your interpretation of these three words?
Have a look at the classic, retro, vintage, and antique items below. What do you considered to be ‘vintage’?
